Garage Door Before & After in Douglasville, GA

Most garage door companies tell you they do good work. We’d rather show you. The photos below are from actual jobs around Douglasville, from Chapel Hill to Stewart’s Mill Road. Each one shows the failed part, the condition we found it in, and what it looked like when we left. The photo record is part of every visit, not an upsell. You see what we saw, before you pay a dollar more than the written price.

Torsion Spring Replacement on a Clopay Door Near Arbor Station

Before and after photos of a broken torsion spring replaced on a Clopay garage door in Arbor Station, Douglasville
Before: snapped torsion spring above the center bearing. After: new spring installed and balanced.

The homeowner heard what sounded like a gunshot from the garage around 6 a.m. The torsion spring measured at 0.250-inch wire diameter and showed a clean break at the coil, which is the failure mode we see most often on doors that have passed the 10,000-cycle mark. We quoted the replacement at $225 to $340, installed one matched pair so the door lifts evenly, and photographed the broken coil before it went in the scrap bin. The door now passes the manual-lift balance test with the opener disengaged.

Full Panel Replacement After a Reversed Truck on Bright Star Road

Before and after photos of a crushed garage door panel replaced on Bright Star Road in Douglasville
Before: bottom panel buckled from a bumper impact. After: new panel matched to the existing door color.

A Ford F-150 backed into the closed door and caved in the bottom panel on an Amarr Heritage 3000. The hinges were still straight, which meant we could replace the single panel instead of the entire door, a difference of roughly $1,400 versus $2,600. We matched the panel stamping and color from the Amarr line, set the section, and re-tensioned the springs to carry the new weight. The door runs true on the tracks with no daylight showing at the jambs.

Opener Logic Board and Trolley Carriage Rebuild in Anneewakee Trails

Before and after photos of a LiftMaster garage door opener logic board and trolley carriage repair in Anneewakee Trails, Douglasville
Before: burnt logic board and a stripped trolley carriage. After: new board installed, carriage re-seated, travel limits reset.

A LiftMaster 8500W had stopped responding to the wall console and the remote. The logic board showed visible scorching at the relay for the motor circuit, and the trolley carriage had chewed itself apart from running against a bound door. We quoted $185 to $260 for the board, replaced the carriage while the rail was down, and reprogrammed the travel limits and force settings. The opener now stops and starts without jerking the door.

Cable Re-seat and Drum Alignment on a Wayne Dalton in Mirror Lake

Before and after photos of a garage door cable re-seated and drum aligned on a Wayne Dalton door in Mirror Lake, Douglasville
Before: cable jumped the drum and wrapped the shaft. After: cable seated clean, drum aligned, door level.

The lift cable had jumped off the drum and wrapped itself around the torsion shaft, which left the left side of the door hanging two inches lower than the right. This is the kind of repair we don’t recommend doing yourself, the spring is under tension even when the door is stuck. We released the spring load with winding bars, re-seated the cable, aligned the drum, and checked the spring balance. Total was $160, quoted before we touched the shaft.

Roller Replacement and Track Tightening on a Genie Door Off Hospital Drive

Before and after photos of garage door rollers replaced and track tightened near Hospital Drive in Douglasville
Before: flattened nylon rollers and a track pulling away from the jamb. After: 10-ball bearing rollers installed, track re-fastened.

The door sounded like a box of rocks and the owner worried it was the spring. What we found was simpler: six nylon rollers flattened on one side from years of no lubrication, plus a vertical track that had pulled off the jamb by nearly half an inch. We replaced all rollers with 10-ball bearing steel for $95 to $120 and re-fastened the track brackets. The door now rolls quiet enough to hear the neighbor’s dog bark.
